On 6 February, 2018, Dr. Csaba Rada, Head of Mission of Hungary presented his Presidential Letter to President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas. During the discussions Csaba Rada highlighted the developing cooperation between Hungary and Palestine in the fields of education, water management and state building. He also emphasized Hungary’s support to the Christian communities in the Middle East and in this framework the Government of Hungary decided to contribute again to restoration works of the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem. President Abbas welcomed the Hungarian efforts of supporting Palestine, and thanked the Head of Mission for the ongoing Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme, which provided opportunity for more than 200 Palestinians students so far.
